The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has invited tenders for construction of a new bridge to replace the recently demolished century old Halaw Bridge which formed part of Old Agra Road at Kurla West. "
This bridge, an integral part of the Santacruz-Chembur Link Road Project, would help motorists reach under construction Amar Mahal Junction flyover providing quicker movement to the traffic heading towards Eastern Express Highway and back", said Dilip Kawathkar, Joint Project Director (PR), MMRDA.
The new 50-metre-long and 7-metre wide bridge would provide one lane each up and down. The new bridge is expected to cost Rs 76.7mn.
